[Issue #019 | April 7th, 2025]

Good morning, Vegas! We’re kicking off this week with something a little different—and something we’ve been dying to do for a while now: our very first big “Thank You”! We’re beyond grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown The Vantage LV, so we wanted to give something back. Up for grabs? A 4-pack of tickets to the John Wick Experience at Area15. It’s immersive, intense, and extremely cool—and hopefully the first of many opportunities we have to help you experience the most Vegas has to offer.

🍷 A moody newcomer serves Parisian vibes and raw ambition
🐂 Dust, denim, and one very serious eight seconds
🌈 A childhood classic steps into the future—literally

Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

The elegant décor of Bar Boheme

Bar Boheme
📍 1401 S Main St Las Vegas (Arts District)
Bar Boheme is the newest spot from Chef James Trees (of Esther’s Kitchen fame), bringing a modern French brasserie to the Arts District. Set inside a former mechanic’s shop, it’s all moody marble, vintage chandeliers, and Belle Époque charm—with a menu to match. Expect classic dishes like Sole Véronique and steak frites, a deep French wine list, and a raw bar that means business. It’s refined but unpretentious, stylish but grounded—fitting right in with the neighborhood’s growing culinary confidence.

Dark Sister
📍 1410 S. Main St. (Arts District)
Dark Sisters is another new spot tucked into Main Street in the Arts District, and it's already turning heads with its moody, witchy aesthetic and apothecary-style drinks. The vibe is equal parts cozy and otherworldly—think candlelit tables, plush seating, and a décor palette pulled straight from a modern grimoire. The menu leans into the mystical, with drinks like “Rosemary’s Baby” and “Eyes Wide Shut” blending infused spirits, unexpected herbs, and dramatic presentation. It’s a space built for conversation, curiosity, and maybe a little chaos.

GINZA
📍 9570 Skye Canyon Park Dr. (Skye Canyon)
Skye Canyon just scored a serious upgrade with the debut of Ginza Izakaya—a stylish, softly lit Japanese dining spot that’s already drawing locals in with its thoughtful menu and serene interior. From classic yakitori and sizzling katsu curry to harder-to-find specialties like ankimo (monkfish liver) and okonomiyaki, the dishes balance comfort with craftsmanship. It’s the kind of place where small plates stretch into long conversations, and the booths offer just enough privacy for a quiet night out.

The Naughty Angel
📍 2971 S Sammy Davis Jr Dr
Situated just behind Resorts World, The Naughty Angel brings French-inspired fine dining to a quieter stretch of the Strip. Helmed by Executive Chef Angel Lopez—whose résumé includes Hell’s Kitchen and Elio at Wynn—the restaurant focuses on elegant technique, bold flavors, and dishes that are as artful as they are indulgent. The vibe is upscale but not stuffy, and the cocktail menu leans cheeky with drinks like the Naughty Angel Martini and the bourbon-forward Abaddon. The vibe is pure indulgence.

Cafe Landwer
📍 8704 W Charleston Blvd (Boca Park Summerlin)
Café Landwer, a Mediterranean-inspired café with roots dating back to 1919, has officially opened in Summerlin—taking over the former space of the long-running Chinglish Cantonese Wine Bar. The new spot brings a warm, European-style café atmosphere with a menu that spans shakshuka, schnitzel, creamy hummus plates, and house-made Rosalach pastries. It’s already proving to be a solid daytime hang, with a breezy patio perfect for spring lunches and brunch meetups, and dinner service on the horizon.

Mo’Bettahs
📍 4065 S Buffalo Dr. (Spring Valley)
Mo’Bettahs has brought its island-style comfort food to Spring Valley, serving up Hawaiian plate lunches with generous portions and zero stress. Expect grilled teriyaki chicken, kalua pig, mac salad, and rice—simple, satisfying, and packed with backyard BBQ flavor. With Mo’Bettahs and Zippy’s both new in town, it’s feeling a lot more like ohana around here.

Dolce Gusto Cafe
📍 10890 S Eastern Ave (Henderson)
This new Henderson café is quietly doing everything right. With a menu of elevated diner favorites— like French toast, loaded burgers, and crispy chicken tenders—it brings comfort food into sharper focus. The portions are generous, the staff treats you like family, and behind the kitchen is a chef with serious pedigree from top restaurants on the Strip, in L.A., and Hawaii. Warm, welcoming, and refreshingly unpretentious, it’s already shaping up to be a local favorite.

Rose. Rabbit. Lie. | Starting April 11th
📍 The Cosmopolitan
One of the Strip’s most elusive experiences is stepping back into the spotlight—for a limited time only. Rose. Rabbit. Lie. is making its grand return with the same immersive blend of supper club, live music, and speakeasy mischief that made it a cult favorite. Expect theatrical performances, spontaneous serenades, and cocktails that feel more like alchemy. It’s intimate, unpredictable, and unapologetically stylish—and for longtime fans, a very welcome resurrection.

The fair is back!

Clark County Fair and Rodeo
📍 April 9-13th @ Logandale
A short drive north lands you in one of Nevada’s biggest small-town traditions. This fair brings all the classics—midway rides, funnel cake, blue ribbon livestock—but pairs it with a PRCA-sanctioned rodeo that draws top-tier talent from across the country. It's equal parts nostalgia and adrenaline, with carnival lights on one side and bucking broncos on the other. If you’ve never been, this is the kind of event that makes Vegas feel a little more rooted. If you have, you already know—boots recommended.

Showchella
📍 Sunday, the 6th @ Sunset Park
For two weekends, this downtown indie theater is transforming into a music-lover’s sanctuary with a curated lineup of music documentaries, performance films, and after-show sets that pay tribute to festival season.

Your voice matters! The local residents of Las Vegas are the number one best source of what’s good, great, and amazing here in this ever-evolving city. Every week we are going to feature the best recommendations tips, and shout-outs we receive!

We found this speakeasy [Ghost Donkey], and had a great time inside! It is super small, with lots of tropical decor and red, dim lighting. My partner and I were approached by the server to check our IDs, and she was so sweet. She gave us recommendations and we ordered our drinks.

We really like the Burro Tropical! It was citrusy and easy to drink! We got to keep the donkey too. We also got the manhattan and it was really strong.

Lotus of Siam is a well known Thai restaurant in Vegas. The ambiance is amazing inside, and this place does get crowded so reservations are recommended. Service was fast, and they do pay attention to service and tend to you once your seated. Coming to the food, tried out their chicken fried rice, chicken lollipop and thai papaya salad, all three dishes were excellent. I will definitely try this place again when i am in Vegas.
