The Vantage LV #33
A party that ends early, a market that goes late, and one very green dance floor.

Your locally curated guide to to the best brand-new eats, events, and hidden gems

Good morning, Vegas! It’s not even June, and we’re already under an Extreme Heat Warning. Forecasts predict highs reaching 105–109°F on Friday and Saturday. Drink water, wear sunscreen, and don’t pretend a vodka soda counts as hydration.
But if you’re still heading out, here are three picks that might be worth breaking a sweat:
🕺 Daytime dance party that wraps before 9
🎨 A silent auction that speaks volumes
🧅 Come for the lasers, stay for “All Star”
Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

What do you get when you combine a cursed tomb, a dragonborn rogue, and a steak-and-stilton pasty? One hell of a Tuesday night.
Monster Quest Escape Rooms has teamed up with local D&D crew The Real Gnomies for a one-night mashup of puzzles, potions, and party food. On June 10th, a group of lucky adventurers will take on one of Monster Quest’s three immersive escape rooms—then dive straight into a tabletop campaign hosted by actual dungeon masters (the fun kind, not the… other kind). All held in the heart of the Arts District—with Cornish Pasty on deck for dinner and drinks throughout.

Dayshift
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Area15
Finally—a day party for those of us who remember dial-up internet and had to print Google Maps directions. This Saturday, the 30+ crowd gets their groove back inside AREA15 with DJ sets, big energy, and zero pressure to pretend you’re still 25. If you’ve ever said “I’d go out more if it didn’t start at 11PM,” congratulations: this one’s for you.
Smelly Cat Karaoke
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Grand Bazaar Shops
It’s Vegas, and Friends references are back in rotation. Smelly Cat Karaoke opens this weekend with a whole lot of neon, 10,000+ songs, and just enough booze to convince you “Shallow” is in your range. The venue’s new, but the vibe is classic.
Grafitti Park Paint & Sip
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Fergusons Downtown
The folks at Fergusons are turning up the charm with another Friday paint session—but this one’s got an edge. Graffiti Park: Paint & Sip trades your typical floral still life for something far more vibrant. You’ll be guided by local artists, glass of wine in hand, while adding your own mark to the city’s ever-shifting creative canvas.
Movies on the Green
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ The District at Green Valley Ranch
The sequel to Disney’s oceanic hit is setting sail under the stars this weekend. Moana 2 screens on the Green at GVR—complete with lawn seating, snack options nearby, and a breeze that makes it all feel more magical than it should. Whether you’re toting kids or just here for the nostalgia, this one’s low-key wholesome and surprisingly charming.
Electric Oasis
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Circa Las Vegas
If you prefer your Saturday soundtracked by synths and submerged in pool water, Electric Oasis is the move. Circa’s Stadium Swim is hosting Anabel Englund for a twilight set that leans sultry and sun-drenched. Add some pop-up shops, drink tastings, and swimwear activations, and you’ve got a mini music fest with a giant LED screen in place of a main stage.
Maylloween
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Henderson (4500 Sunset Rd)
Somehow both a spring fling and a spooky bash, Maylloween is back with costumes, music, and the kind of creative chaos that only happens in Henderson. Nest’s event isn’t huge, but that’s the charm—think backyard haunt vibes, handmade decor, and locals who take their themes seriously. It’s weird in the best way, and refreshingly uncommercial.
May Flowers Silent Auction
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Area15
For those who collect moments, not just drinks, May Flowers is your kind of night. The silent auction returns to AREA15 with live painting, emerging local artists, and a purpose that runs deeper than your average Saturday. It’s creative energy with real weight—part gallery, part gathering, all heart. If you’re the type who sees art as conversation, not decoration, this is where you’ll want to be.

Farmer’s Market at the District
📍 Thursday, 5.29 @ The District at Green Valley Ranch
A steady favorite for Henderson locals, The District’s farmers market continues to be one of the more thoughtfully curated in town. Fresh produce, small-batch goods, and a lineup of regional vendors give it more substance than spectacle.
702 Night Market
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Fantastic Indoor Swapmeet Lot
What started as a grassroots food fair has grown into one of the city's most eclectic night markets. 702 blends street eats, handmade goods, and a soundtrack of live performances into an atmosphere that feels both familiar and electric. It’s loud in all the right ways, with just enough unpredictability to make it feel like discovery.
LV Craft Night Market
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ M Resort
Set against the polished backdrop of the M Resort, this night market offers a more refined take on the local maker scene. Artisans, designers, and boutique vendors showcase work that ranges from practical to collectible—jewelry, textiles, ceramics, and more. The pace is slower here, but so is the browsing. Less hustle, more conversation.

Kendrick Lamar and SZA
📍 Saturday, 5.31 @ Allegiant Stadium
The Grand National Tour is easily the biggest ticket in town this weekend—and for good reason. Kendrick and SZA are two of the most singular voices in music today, and their rare double-bill brings stadium-scale energy with festival-level credibility. The setlist runs deep, the production’s massive, and the message? Still razor sharp.
Emo Night Tour
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Virgin Hotels
Break out the eyeliner and pretend you’re not crying during “I’m Not Okay.” Emo Night returns with a full-volume homage to pop-punk heartbreak, screaming choruses, and the golden era of Warped Tour. It’s nostalgic, sure—but not ironic. This crowd knows every word, and the DJs know exactly what they’re doing.
Wav Sessions 10
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Taverna Costera
Now in its tenth round, WAV Sessions continues to be one of the most thoughtfully curated showcases of local talent in the city. Part rooftop party, part sonic experiment, the lineup highlights indie producers, live acts, and DJs who care more about depth than clout.
Shrekno
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Area15
“Somebody once told me…” a Shrek Rave is in town! Shrekno takes over AREA15 with green lasers, ironic bangers, and dancefloor absurdity that somehow just works. It’s part EDM show, part costume party, part deeply committed internet joke—and people go all in. Come for the chaos, stay because “All Star” hits way harder than it should at 1AM.
Daft Disko
📍 Friday, 5.30 @ Area15
On the sleeker side of AREA15’s nightlife double-header, Daft Disko offers a polished homage to French house and disco classics. Expect filtered basslines, retro visuals, and a dance floor that feels more Paris underground than cosplay fever dream.
Sleep Theory
📍 Thursday, 5.29 @ Brooklyn Bowl
If your taste skews hard rock with heart, Sleep Theory brings the edge. Currently riding high on the success of their “Afterglow” EP, the Tennessee band plays Brooklyn Bowl with a mix of emotional hooks and riff-heavy catharsis. It’s clean, tight, and built for people who still love a breakdown.

Jennifer Lopez
📍 December 30th @ The Colosseum
Jennifer Lopez returns to Las Vegas with her new residency, Up All Night Live, at The Colosseum. Following her dynamic performance at the 2025 American Music Awards, this residency marks her first in Vegas since the successful All I Have run from 2016 to 2018. Tickets go on sale early June, so keep an eye out.
David Lee Roth
📍 September 6th @ Fontainebleau
Rock icon David Lee Roth is set to perform at the BleauLive Theater in Fontainebleau on September 6. Known for his electrifying stage presence and as the frontman of Van Halen, Roth's return to the Vegas stage is highly anticipated.
Memories of Hyrule
📍 September 5th @ West Las Vegas Library Theater
Fans of The Legend of Zelda can experience the game's iconic music in a new light at the Memories of Hyrule piano candlelit concert. Held at the West Las Vegas Library Theater, this event offers an intimate setting where pianist Matt Harikian performs improvisations inspired by the beloved game series.

After EDC, I needed a full system reboot. Most of the weekend finishing up recovery mode, punctuated by a truly baffling live-action Disney remake (I have OPINIONS). Thankfully, the city’s local markets offered some much-needed soul: Sunday Stroll at Market in the Alley and the vendor scene at Fergusons reminded me why Vegas is so much more than neon and noise.
I capped it off with drinks at Doberman, hosting a fellow newsletter publisher in town from San Francisco. No better place, really—equal parts hidden and intentional, with just enough mystery to impress a local and an outsider. Next up: a pastaRAMEN reservation before the pop-up wraps, then Oddyssey Noir at AREA15 and a curious look at the newly revamped Go Pool. Summer’s creeping in—and I’m leaning in with it.
