Winnie & Ethel’s, the retro-chic diner that’s been a daytime darling since its debut, is now stepping into the evening spotlight. Starting June 5, they’re rolling out a long-awaited dinner menu that’s been 18 months in the making. Co-owner Mallory Gott describes the new menu as aiming to elevate the classic diner dinner experience. The menu features dishes like Hangar Steaks, Blackened Rainbow Trout, and an amazing Black Pepper BBQ Meatloaf that evokes the comforting essence of a Sunday roast. Chef Aaron Lee’s creations are a nod to nostalgic comfort, reimagined with a refined touch. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-time visitor, this new dinner service promises to make your evenings at Winnie & Ethel’s just as memorable as their beloved breakfasts.

Zaytinya
📍 The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
José Andrés brings his acclaimed Mediterranean concept to the Strip, offering a menu inspired by Turkish, Greek, and Lebanese cuisines. The 8,600-square-foot space features warm oak doors, mosaic-tiled bars, and a striking fireplace, creating an atmosphere that balances modern elegance with Mediterranean warmth. Signature dishes include labneh, baba ghanoush, and grilled octopus Santorini, complemented by innovative cocktails like the olive oil-infused martini.

Grey Witch
📍 Henderson
From the creators of Red Dwarf and Fat Cat, Grey Witch is a new all-ages venue that combines a bar, restaurant, and live music space. Featuring a dual-themed interior: a light, whimsical front bar and a darker, macabre back room adorned with gargoyle statues and skeletons. An adjoining music venue hosts a variety of genres, and a hidden craft cocktail room called Dark Arts offers personalized drink experiences.

Spicy Lao Vegas
📍 Southeast
Laotian food doesn’t get nearly enough love in Vegas, but this newcomer is changing that. A sibling to San Diego’s Spicy Lao Kitchen, this southeast-side spot brings big, bright, deeply personal flavors—herbal sausages, sticky rice, papaya salad with actual bite. It’s fast, casual, and fiercely rooted in tradition.

Best Burger
📍 Arts District
Sometimes a name really does say it all. Best Burger is the kind of spot that lives or dies by the quality of its smashburger—and they’re living just fine. Crisp-edged patties, simple build, and a neighborhood vibe that fits right into its stretch of East Charleston. No frills, no fuss, just fire burgers.

Ta'Chingon Flavors of Mexico
📍 Spring Valley
Run by the Andrade family (of Gallo Giro and Andrade’s fame), this new westside kitchen isn’t reinventing Mexican food—it’s celebrating it, with a modern spin. The molcajetes come bubbling, the birria ramen is a hit, and the house margaritas don’t shy from fresh lime or good tequila.

Brunello
📍 Summerlin
Brunello is what happens when a family-run restaurant refuses to cut corners. Located in Sun City Summerlin, it’s warm, polished, and refreshingly unfussy—handmade pastas, hearty mains, and a cozy dining room complete with an open kitchen and a Sophia Loren mural. Also: dog-friendly patio. Enough said.

Ashley Furniture
📍 Southwest
Just west of Durango and practically IKEA-adjacent, this new Ashley showroom finally gives southwest locals a no-nonsense place to upgrade the home without a marathon drive. The footprint is big, the selection is solid, and if you’re already loading up at IKEA next door, why not finish the job?

Swingers Vegas
📍 Until August @ Mandalay Bay
Swingers, the adults-only mini-golf spot known for its cheeky vibes, is opening its doors to families this summer. From June 1 to August 31, kids and teens are welcome daily until 5 PM. National Dino Day Celebration
📍 June 1 @ Centennial Hills Library
This hands-on workshop lets kids craft rocky dino eggs with a surprise inside, then take them home to “hatch.” Materials are provided and creativity is encouraged. Free, fun, and fully dino-approved.

Mystery Studio
📍 South Las Vegas
That massive structure rising near South Point? Not an airplane hangar, despite appearances. It's actually a temporary soundstage for an undisclosed television production. While specifics are scarce, it's confirmed that the facility will be used to film a competition show in June.

Zac Brown Sphere Residency
📍 The Sphere
Country music is set to make a grand entrance at The Sphere. Zac Brown Band has announced a residency at the high-tech venue, slated to begin at the end of the year. Known for their dynamic performances, the band plans to leverage The Sphere's cutting-edge visuals and acoustics to deliver an immersive concert experience.

WrestleMania 42
📍 Potentially Allegiant Stadium
WrestleMania 42's location is currently up in the air, but Las Vegas has emerged as a strong contender. Originally slated for New Orleans, the event's relocation is under consideration, with Vegas's recent success hosting WrestleMania 41 bolstering its bid. While no official announcement has been made, the possibility of back-to-back WrestleManias in Las Vegas is generating buzz among wrestling fans and industry insiders alike.

I am so glad the person I was meeting for lunch suggested The Blooming Bistro. It's definitely worth making a visit. It's an amazing experience with excellent food and service. And in addition, their mission is to provide a lifeline for at-risk youth. If you read about their purpose, they describe providing vital workforce training and beyond for young adults facing a variety of challenges.

I ordered the albacore tuna sandwich with a side of the home fries. It was absolutely delicious! Perfectly prepared.
