The Wizard of Oz at Sphere
Las Vegas just got a glow-up on its yellow Brick Road—The Wizard of Oz immersive experience has officially launched ticket sales for its grand debut on August 28 at Sphere. Ahead of the opening, the venue unveiled a giant-scale activation: a massive “squished” Wicked Witch’s legs and 22-foot ruby slippers sticking out from beneath the Sphere, parked like a wayward house from the Kansas set.

This isn’t just a movie screening, it’s a full-on sensory journey, complete with 16K visuals, wind, scent, haptic seats, and remastered score on 167,000 speakers. Tickets went live June 10 (Judy Garland’s birthday, no less), and they’re already moving fast—consider this your cue to click some heels and grab yours before they melt away.

Last weekend I dove into the Market in the Alley night market at UnCommons, loading up on local standouts like my favorite indulgence, the banana bread from Bananeff Bread. I also embraced my nerdier side at Omniscience Cards & Games, battling through the Final Fantasy Pre-Release and reliving my Magic the Gathering groove with friends. Nothing like casting spells in a cozy, community-driven game shop.

Midweek called for a culinary treat, so we hit the pastaRAMEN pop-up at Bar Zazu in Resorts World. That Cacio e Pepe Gyoza practically disappeared off the plate, and the Mochi Ramen Carbonara Tsukemen (with tableside pour) was one of the most inventive mash-ups I’ve slurped this year. With a busy week behind us, I’m gearing up to unwind at Prowl and Petrol Head—two brand-new spots that promise great vibes.
