The Vantage LV #38

A peaceful weekend behind us, and a promising week ahead. Here’s what’s new:

Your locally curated guide to to the best brand-new eats, events, and hidden gems
[Issue #038 | June 16th, 2025]

Good morning, Vegas! This weekend, Vegas stood strong as hundreds gathered downtown, joining a nationwide “No Kings” protest to make their voices heard: powerfully and peacefully. Our support goes out to everyone who showed courage and care to stand for what they believe in. Here’s hoping this week brings a bit of calm, kindness, and joy to our streets and your feeds:

🥗 A cult-fave health spot sets its sights on Vegas
🌅 Celebrate the Solstice the right way
🍻 Every screen, every sport, just for her (and them, and you)

Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

Aubergine Kitchen
📍 Opens June 20 @ Apache Plaza
Utah-born Aubergine Kitchen, a clean‑eats concept built on scratch‑made, whole‑food dishes, preps to open on Fort Apache this summer. Their no-seed-oil, no-added-sugar approach includes plant-forward staples like baked falafel bowls, nutrient-rich kale salads, and grain plates topped with baba ghanoush.

Restaurant Week Extended
📍 Now Until June 20 @ Various Restaurants
Just announced: Las Vegas Restaurant Week has officially been extended through June 20, giving you one more week to taste your way through prix fixe menus at top spots across the valley. Even better? A portion of each meal supports Three Square Food Bank, so your indulgence feeds more than just you.

Howlin’ Ray’s
📍 Now Open @ The Venetian
Hot chicken just leveled up on the Strip. Howlin’ Ray’s, the legendary L.A. cult (and personal) favorite, is now open inside Via Via at The Venetian, dishing out ultra-crispy, cayenne-blasted fried chicken that somehow stays impossibly juicy. The sandwich is a star, pillowy, tangy, unapologetically messy, but the fries? Straight comfort.

Pats Patty’s
📍 Now Open @ East Tropicana
What started as a cult-favorite wagyu smash burger truck is finally a brick-and-mortar. Early reports say the buttery, “perfectly imperfect” patties (and tallow‑fried wagyu fries) carry over that pop-up fanfare. With hefty Instagram buzz and a loyal local following, this one’s shaping up to be the smash shop of summer.

UnderDog Beer Hall
📍 Now Open @ Showcase Mall
BrewDog’s new Lower‑Strip concept beneath its rooftop spot is all about big screens, bigger pints, and pizza that hits like a comeback kid. Designed for playoff nights and after‑dark hangs, it pours BrewDog staples like Elvis Juice alongside local Nevada beers. This value-forward sports bar taps into the Strip’s energy in a refreshingly approachable way.

Hairy Situation: A Comedy Show By Alok
📍 June 16 @ Wiseguys Comedy
Town Square is hosting ALOK, a celebrated poet‑comedian whose sharp wit and boundary‑pushing takes on identity hit hard and funny. Their “Hairy Situation” show blends stand‑up and spoken word, and a stage presence that’s equal parts thoughtful and theatrical.

Summerlin Sounds: Million Dollar Band
📍 June 18 @ Summerlin
Downtown Summerlin’s lawn is backlit with live music energy every Wednesday through July 23, and mid‑June brings the Million Dollar Band with upbeat Top 40 tunes, followed by singer Jase Naron. Bring a chair (or a blanket), snag a cocktail from La Neta Cocina, and settle in for a crowd‑friendly evening under the stars.

Mixology Masterclass
📍 Ongoing @ The Cabinet of Curiosities
Tucked beneath the Horseshoe on the Strip, The Cabinet of Curiosities offers a 90‑minute cocktail workshop that feels just as much performance as lesson. You’ll sip two curated drinks, then build three of your own under expert guidance. It’s the perfect night‑out option for curious sippers and group outings wanting to shake things up.

Solara: Summer Solstice
📍 June 16 @ Bel‑Aire Backyard
The Solara event on June 16 celebrates the solstice with an immersive blend of sunset yoga, night swimming, live soundbath, and a post‑ritual afterparty inside the lounge. Presented by Ritual Collective with wellness drinks by Flecha Azul and Ritual Zero Proof, it’s a rare desert‑night ceremony that blends chill ritual and summertime sparkle.

Atomic Golf: Summer Pass
📍 Until August 31 @ Atomic Golf
Get unlimited indoor golf sessions (2 hours/day for you + up to 7 friends) from June 1–Aug 31, with no blackout dates and no reservations! Just walk in, show your pass, and swing. More than a driving range, it’s a high‑energy, tech‑driven play space with chef‑driven eats, craft beverages, arcade vibes and LED dance floors.

The Cliff: Anti-Mall in Henderson
Henderson City Council has greenlit “The Cliff,” a $50 million open-air retail and dining project reimagining a tired office park into a 100,000 sq ft “anti‑mall” with 25 curated shops, restaurants, wellness spots, communal fire-pit lounges and public art. Construction is expected to begin this October, with doors swinging open in 2026 .

The Sports Bra
Portland’s women‑sports‑only bar, The Sports Bra (backed by Reddit co‑founder Alexis Ohanian’s 776 Foundation) has officially announced a Las Vegas franchise as part of expanding to four new cities. Location and opening date are still under wraps, but locals can anticipate a community-first, screen-focused celebration of Aces, Silver Stars and more

Rampart Casino Food Hall
City filings show ramps are in motion at Rampart Casino in Summerlin to bring in a rotating food‑hall lineup, including a second Wineaux location alongside debuting spots like Ai Pazzi, Nom Wah and Tacos 1986. These additions follow the resort’s recent $75 million renovation and promise elevated dining choices off‑Strip

Fear Dome Dates Announced
The FearDome returns this fall, taking over Circus Circus from Sept 26 to Oct 31 with an all‑new haunted maze and immersive horror attractions inside the resort’s former Midway space. With a Vegas‑sized footprint and cinematic ambition, it’s shaping up to be a headline scare of spooky season.

Steel Panther
Get ready to time travel to the ’80s glam metal heyday: Steel Panther hits House of Blues this August as part of their “Feel the Steel” 15th Anniversary Tour. Grab your tickets via Ticketmaster, AXS, or SeatGeek before the hairspray runs out.

Kansas
Progressive‑rock stalwarts Kansas roll into town for a one‑night residency at the Pearl Concert Theater (Palms) on December 5. Their 50th‑anniversary celebration continues, and tickets are live now through Ticketmaster, Live Nation, SeatGeek, and Vivid Seats.

Bright Eyes
Indie‑rock favorites Bright Eyes land at House of Blues on September 3 for an evening of emotionally charged lyricism. The tour is in full swing after Oberst’s 2024 hiatus, and tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster, Live Nation, AXS, and Bandsintown.

I found Far Side Pizza totally by accident. I tried a slice of the Ultra pizza and a classic pepperoni, and both were incredible. The fresh basil on the Ultra slice really brought everything together.

There's just something about discovering a great mom & pop pizza shop, they always hit different. We are not LV locals but I hope these guys get the hype they deserve.

Love the ambiance here. Grey Witch hosted the Market Macabre when I went. Lots of great vendors and live entertainment. The place was nearly filled to capacity when I first arrived.

Yummy specialty drinks and so nice to a have new venue so close to home. All the staff there were friendly and welcoming. I'll be back soon to sample the pizza and hear some live music.
