Good morning, Vegas! If you’ve lived here long enough, you know summer in Vegas isn’t just about surviving the heat, it’s thriving in it. The pop-ups that feel personal. The concerts that sneak up on you. The moments that remind you why you chose this city in the first place. This week’s issue is packed with exactly that: new spots, local energy, and a few reasons to actually leave the house before sunset.

📚 A new bookstore with secrets worth collecting
🎤 One of the coolest rooms in town is about to get louder
🐟 Bellagio’s next big thing? Less sauce, more sea

Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

At Monster Quest Escape Rooms, the stories keep getting stranger… and the stakes keep getting higher. Step into Swamp Thing, where a cursed moonshiner’s cabin hides something far more sinister than moonshine, or tackle classics like Curse of the Mummy and Dr. Frankenstein, where every clue brings you closer to the unknown.

Tucked into the heart of the Arts District, it’s the kind of night out that starts with adrenaline and ends with a toast: win or lose. Just make sure your team’s ready. The rooms aren’t getting easier.

Tuscan Cove
📍 Southern Highlands
From the team behind STK and Itsy Bitsy, Tuscan Cove is a new bar-and-patio concept led by local chef Ricardo Romo. You’ll find a laid-back luxury with a menu that spans wood-fired pizzas, steak frites, and one of the better smash burgers you’ll find off-strip. The indoor space is sleek and stylish, but the sprawling patio (fire pits, twinkle lights, and charcuterie boards) is the real draw.

Mad Red Books
📍 Silverado Ranch
Mad Red Books is a new indie shop specializing in rare finds, signed editions, and the kind of literary curation that makes browsing feel like a treasure hunt. It’s run by local collector Joshua Dana, who’s mixing resale with rotating art and in-store appraisals.

Pop Mart
📍 Summerlin
The world’s cutest obsession just touched down in Summerlin. POP MART, famous for designer vinyl toys like Molly, Dimoo, and the feverishly collected Labubu, has opened it’s new Vegas storefront inside Downtown Summerlin.

he Mustang Challenge returns to South Point with top trainers and mustangs squaring off in a weekend-long showcase of grit, grace, and serious horsemanship. On The Record x Dont Tell Comedy
📍 7.12 @ MGM Grand
Don’t Tell Comedy is popping up inside On The Record for a secret-set standup show inside one of Vegas’s coolest hidden lounges. You won’t know who’s performing until showtime, but with past lineups including Netflix regulars and rising comedy killers, the surprise is part of the appeal.

Sneaker Con Las Vegas 2025
📍 7.12-13 @ Las Vegas Convention Center
More than just a buy-sell-trade fest, Sneaker Con is a full-on sneakerverse. This year’s Vegas edition brings 250+ vendors, live auctions, legit check stations, and enough heat to make your grails feel basic.

I went to Golden Oyster for some nice Mexican food, and trust me, because it didn't disappoint! The tamales were super juicy and delicious, and the chips y salsa were very crispy and fresh.

Service was spectacular! Very fast drinks and food and the servers were kind. Did you know one of the dishes is named after a waiter? Interesting!

I got the Jawsome set from Jaws Topokki for to-go and absolutely loved it! The deep-fried set was especially good. I'm not sure if they normally include dipping sauce for the fried set, but I didn't get any. Still, it went really well with the topokkii sauce. The prices are reasonable and the service was great too. Definitely going back again.
