Showroom at Rare Motors Co.
The Haunted Brunch at The Composers Room is a weekly riot of campy costumes, cocktails, and servers who might sing, scream, or both. It’s brunch as performance art—way better than another mimosa tower. For the coffee experts, Rare Motors Co. on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive serves espresso in a sleek auto showroom. The drinks are good, the cars are shiny, and the vibe is pristine. In Chinatown, Ellie’s Chinese Restaurant is winning fans with Hong Kong–style dishes, a full bar, and live music nights that bring the energy.

Sunflower Yoga at Gilcrease
Thursday, August 22
Start your day at Gilcrease Orchard with Ground & Gather’s yoga flow, set among rows of fresh herbs and veggies. Breathing in the earthy air as the sun rises feels like a reset, plus you’ll leave with a bag of whatever’s ripe.
By night, things get loud. AREA15 hosts the Shoe Fetish Fashion Show, where models in stark black let wild, statement-making shoes take center stage. It’s bold, weird, and pure Vegas. Over at Cheapshot, The Jiggle Room brings campy burlesque and sharp sketch comedy to Fremont Street—think retro vibes with a sly grin. For something softer, Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons at INDUSTRIAL weaves stadium hits into string melodies under glowing candles. Or, lean into your 2000s angst at Swan Dive’s Not Another Emo Night. First 50 get a free shirt; everyone gets to scream-sing.
Friday, August 23
Friday’s big moment: Spring Valley’s massive new Costco opens its 155,000-square-foot doors. New members score deals, early risers nab samples, and the parking lot becomes a battlefield.
At Orleans Arena, the Las Vegas Woman’s Expo packs in beauty booths, business talks, and enough free wine to fill your tote. It’s a vibe for anyone who loves a good hustle-and-sample combo. Meanwhile, the Greatest Gun Show in Sin City at Ahern Hotel offers gear, vendors, and free food for two days—straightforward and no-nonsense.
After dark, Cemetery Pulp’s Big Top Night Shop pops up with quirky artisans, vintage finds, and carnival flair, plus a raffle for Gilcrease Animal Sanctuary. If you’d rather dance, Kitty’s Techno Rave at AREA15 is all strobes, beats, and “friendship portals” (no rules, just vibes). Finally, Tim Heidecker & The Very Good Band at Brooklyn Bowl mix deadpan humor with solid rock riffs.
Saturday, August 24
Keep it chill at Fergusons Downtown’s Just Vibes Market. Handmade goods, cold drinks, and easygoing vendors make it feel like a lazy Sunday (but it’s Saturday). Perfect for strolling and small talk.
Monday, August 26
Mondays don’t have to suck. Jonny Ravenscroft performs a free comedy set at Cornish Pasty, pairing good laughs with a pint and a pasty. It might be enough to actually get you excited for the week ahead.

Lindsey Stirling - Carol of the Bells
Later This Year
Lindsey Stirling’s Snow Waltz holiday shows at The Venetian (Dec 10–13) go on sale Thursday. Her last run sold out quick, so grab tickets early if you want violin-fueled magic.
Chinatown’s old Yunnan Garden spot is getting a glow-up with Swaad Indian Cuisine. Think bold tandoori, Indo-fusion dishes, and a tech-savvy setup. It’s already one to watch this fall.

Your voice matters! The local residents of Las Vegas are the number one best source of what’s good, great, and amazing here in this ever-evolving city. Every week we are going to feature the best recommendations tips, and shout-outs we receive!
El Zarape has really good food at an affordable price. The fish ceviche is around $6 and its amazing! I always get the pozole which is around $15 but you get a lot ! I never finish it and always have to get the rest to go. This restaurant is on the large side and has a ton of seating. The staff here is always really nice and the service is quick. If you enjoy your food, they have a bell you can ring on the way out ! Ill definitely be back to try other food they have !
Checked out Kaito Sushi during their soft opening and the service was awesome. Everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome right away.
We got the Lisa Roll, baked salmon roll and miso soup. My 3-year-old son is usually picky but he crushed the miso soup.
They even hooked us up with a complimentary spicy yellow tail crispy rice which was really good. Fresh fish, great flavors, solid experience. I'll definitely be back once they're fully up and running.
