🔥 This Week in Vegas

Good morning, Vegas! I continue to appreciate all the support so far—it’s been great seeing so many of you checking out new spots and sharing what you’re most excited for. Having local businesses reach out and let me know that a customer was sent their way via the newsletter is a dream come true. These places are amazing and deserve the love. If there’s something on your radar, let me know, I want to highlight the best this city has to offer and that means knowing what gets -you- excited. Now, let’s get into it:

🎵 Vinyl, vibes, and a killer cocktail lineup.
🎟️ The most exclusive club Vegas has seen in years.
🤠 Two-steppin’ under the Vegas sky.

Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

🍽️ New Tastes

Big flavors, bold concepts—these just-opened restaurants are making waves:

Echo Taste & Sound | Now Open
📍 1301 S Main St. (Arts District)

"Immerse yourself in taste & sound."

Blending bold flavors with live beats, Echo Taste & Sound is bringing a fresh vibe to the Arts District. This new Sound Lounge-meets-restaurant offers globally inspired small plates, craft cocktails, and a rotating lineup of live vinyl from their extensive collection. When I stopped in this past weekend, the drinks were on point, the music was perfectly curated, and the vibe was exactly what you want for a night out that feels both laid-back and elevated.

🔑VANTAGE TIP: The tables and bar are great, but try and get the couches next to the sound system. So comfortable, and it sounds incredible!

Carrot & Daikon | Now Open
📍 2550 St. Rose Pkwy (Henderson)

"Every bite tells a flavorful story."

Simple, fast, and packed with flavor—Carrot & Daikon is serving up legit Vietnamese/American fusion, focusing on quality bánh mì without the fuss. Crisp baguettes, house-marinated meats, and perfectly pickled veggies come together in classic combos, rich pâté options, and even tofu-friendly versions. No gimmicks, no unnecessary extras—just a damn good sandwich that gets it right.

Tokyo Sando | Now Open
📍 3900 Paradise Rd. (Paradise)

"We stick to the tried and true techniques of Japanese flavors and tradition but with our own unique spin and Las Vegas style."

A proper Japanese sando is all about the details—soft milk bread, perfectly fried katsu, balanced flavors—and Tokyo Sando is getting it right. This pop-up inside Izakaya Tora is bringing chef-crafted sandwiches with classic Japanese flavors and creative twists. Check their IG for pop-up hours because when they’re open, they sell out fast.

Basil Vegan Thai and Sushi | Now Open
📍 500 E Windmill Ln. (Paradise)

"100% plant-based, bursting with Thai flavors & exquisite vegan sushi!"

Vegan Thai food is brand-new for Vegas, but Basil is doing it at a level that makes you forget it’s plant-based. From bold, spice-heavy curries to sushi rolls that actually hold their own, they’re proving that Thai and Japanese flavors don’t need meat to be satisfying. Whether you’re vegan or just looking to mix it up, this one’s worth checking out.

Gjelina | Now Open
📍 3325 S Las Vegas Blvd (The Venetian)

"Gjelina, named after the founder Fran Camaj’s mother, is built on the foundation of family."

L.A.’s beloved Venice Beach staple has landed in Vegas, bringing its signature wood-fired pizzas, seasonal small plates, and effortlessly cool vibe to The Venetian. Known for its locally sourced ingredients and New American menu, Gjelina’s Vegas outpost is keeping things in line with its West Coast roots, so expect quality.

Even more new spots:

Airoma Cafe | Now Open in Chinatown
Banchan Village | Now Open in Henderson
Hot Noods | Now Open in the El Cortez Casino
K Self Ramen | Now Open in Chinatown
