[Issue #013 | March 17, 2025]

Good morning, Vegas! Another week, another reason to love this city. Whether you’ve been here forever, or just long enough to start complaining about the traffic on Spring Mountain, you know there’s always something new popping up. Maybe it’s your next go-to spot, maybe it’s just a good excuse to get out—but either way, I’ve got you covered.
🍔 A new burger joint in town
🎩 Magic, mystery, and a little mayhem
🍸 A legendary supper club returns
Here’s what’s worth your time this week:

Amy’s Burgers | Now Open
📍 6595 Smoke Ranch Rd
A new burger spot just opened on Smoke Ranch, and it’s already winning people over. Amy’s keeps it simple—good beef, crispy edges, and no shortcuts. The menu is tight but well-executed, with loaded bacon burgers, crispy wings, and thick, hand-spun shakes. It’s the kind of spot you swing by once just to try it, then suddenly find yourself craving a week later.
Blue Bottle | Now Open
📍 6815 Tom Rodriguez St
Blue Bottle has officially set up shop in Vegas, bringing its precision-brewed coffee and minimalist vibes to in a Mojave-inspired new location at UnCommons. Known for high-quality beans and expert brewing techniques, this place is all about getting the details right. Their New Orleans-style iced coffee is a must-try, but if you’re the type to obsess over espresso quality, you’ll probably end up working your way through the whole menu.
Imperial Go | Now Open
📍 6430 S Decatur Blvd
Imperial GO is a new Chinese takeout spot that’s doing the classics with a little extra care. The menu sticks to tried-and-true favorites like sesame chicken, dumplings, and beef & broccoli, but everything is made fresh and well-balanced—not overly sweet, not too salty. Portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and it feels like one of those places that could quietly become a neighborhood staple.
Do Kkae Bi Kitchen | Now Open
📍 4725 Spring Mountain Rd
Spring Mountain has no shortage of great Korean food, but Do Kkae Bi Kitchen is carving out its own lane as a takeout-only spot that doesn’t cut corners. The fried chicken is perfectly crispy, the stews are rich and comforting, and the banchan (side dishes) actually taste like something someone’s grandma made. No seating here, just quick, well-made Korean comfort food that’s easy to grab and hard to forget.
Chamon | Now Open
📍 5020 W Spring Mountain Rd
There aren’t many places in Vegas that focus entirely on onigiri (Japanese rice balls), but Chamon is changing that. They keep the traditional flavors, with fillings like salmon, tuna mayo, and spicy cod roe, all wrapped up in perfectly seasoned rice. Though they also have some more unique variations to try. They also have amazing tempura rice bowls if you’re looking for something heartier. It’s quick, it’s affordable, and it’s a great option if you want a meal that feels light but still satisfying.

Will Bradshaw’s Wonderground | March 20th
📍 3215 South Rancho Dr (Area15)
Prepare to be captivated. This spectacle brings together a fresh lineup of world-class magicians and entertainers, ensuring each performance is a unique experience. Hosted by Will Bradshaw, a regular at the Magic Castle and Las Vegas Magic Stars, the show offers an intimate setting where magic, mystery, and theater collide.
So You Wanna be a DJ | March 19th
📍 508 Fremont Street (Evel Pie)
If you’re into underground EDM, pizza, and a little friendly chaos, the "So You Wanna Be a DJ" contest at Evel Pie is worth checking out. This isn’t a polished club night—it’s a low-key, high-energy battle where up-and-comers throw down their best sets, hoping to win over the crowd. Expect everything from house to techno to absolute trainwrecks, all fueled by affordable beer and Evel Pie’s legendary slices.
An Evening with Will Smith | March 20th
📍 3950 S Las Vegas Blvd
Will Smith is heading to House of Blues for a one-night-only event that’s part music, part storytelling, and full of surprises. "An Evening with Will Smith" is a rare chance to see the actor, rapper, and all-around icon in a more intimate setting, mixing live performances with personal insights and maybe even a few unexpected guests. Whether you grew up on Big Willie Style, love his movies, or just want to witness something different, this is one of those events you probably won’t see again anytime soon.

Rose.Rabbit.Lie @ The Cosmopolitan | April 11th+
The Cosmopolitan’s iconic supper club is making a comeback—sort of. The Cosmopolitan is reviving its iconic venue with weekend pop-ups at The Chandelier in April. Expect caviar tacos, craft cocktails, and live performances bringing back that offbeat Vegas energy. They’re not live yet, but keep an eye on The Cosmo’s website—reservations will be recommended.
UNLVino Tasting @ Thomas & Mack Center | May 2nd
UNLVino is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a Grand Tasting event this May. This milestone event brings together wine enthusiasts, culinary delights, and live entertainment, all in support of scholarships for the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. Guests can indulge in a vast selection of fine wines, spirits, and cuisine from notable Southern Nevada establishments, creating an unforgettable evening that blends artistry and culture with every sip. Ticket’s will sell out on this, so I’m telling you now!
Papa Roach x Rise Against @ MGM Grand | April 5th
Papa Roach and Rise Against are teaming up for the Rise of the Roach Tour, hitting MGM Grand this April with Underoath along for the ride. It’s a mix of big riffs, massive singalongs, and early 2000s energy that still hits just as hard. If you grew up on these bands or just need a night of loud, unapologetic rock, this is the show for you.

Grand Tiki – 2025
A new tiki-themed spot is on the way, and all we know so far comes from a flyer outside 114 E Harmon Ave. It teases dining, cocktails, and gaming, all wrapped in heavy island vibes. No word yet on what exactly Grand Tiki will be, but if the name and artwork are anything to go by, expect a full tropical escape in the heart of Vegas.
Vanderpump Hotel – 2026
Lisa Vanderpump is taking over The Cromwell, turning it into The Vanderpump Hotel in partnership with Caesars Entertainment. Opening in early 2026, the boutique hotel will feature 188 rooms, a redesigned casino floor, and Vanderpump’s signature mix of luxury and whimsy. Given her track record with Vegas hotspots, this will likely be just as over-the-top as her restaurants—glamorous, dramatic, and built for a good time.
Bend Openings – 2025
The Bend has already brought plenty of new spots to the southwest, but there’s still more on the way. Kintsugi Yoga will add a new studio to the mix, Metro Pizza is bringing its beloved pies to the neighborhood, and Butcher & Thief looks to be a promising new steakhouse. On the retail side, All Mountain Cyclery and Makeshift Union are set to open, while Saint Felix and Dinette will bring even more dining options. And for something sweet, Killer Whale Creamery is gearing up to scoop some ice cream.

Great food and friendly service [at Marufuku Ramen]! The waitress was very thorough on explaining the menu and what she recommends. It was very helpful since this was our first time coming here.
We split the tonkatsu dx ramen and chicken kaarage. The ramen was very flavorful and had a lot of stuff in it. It included both the chashu and braised pork belly. The chicken kaarage was crispy and had a light batter.
Phin Smith is a cute coffee shop located in the southwest area! I ordered the strawberry matcha which was perfect not too strong or bitter with the sweetness evening it out.
This coffee shops does tend to be super busy! Upon arrival no seating available for me to study :( but once I did find a spot I spent about 3 hours there. Keep in mind during a rush there are lots of distractions.
